Ted Young

Graduated with a BS in Math Education at SIU-Carbondale 1975 following two years in the United States Marine Corps

Earned a Master's in Guidance and Counseling at SIU-Carbondale 1980

Worked for 34 years teaching math and technology at Centralia Junior High School in Centralia, Il.
Retired from teaching and worked the next 9 years as the Technology Coordinator at the same junior high.
Retired (for good) on May 20, 2018.

Married for 49 years, and counting, to my high school sweetheart.

Webster provided me with a quality education in spite of my minimal efforts. I am grateful to all of the faculty members who tried to reach me and especially to the one math teacher, Mr. Wojak(?) who simply told me, "You're good at this stuff." That is one of the reasons I decided to become a secondary math teacher.
