THE "WAYBACK MACHINE", CLASS-RELATED VIDEOS

BLASTS FROM THE PAST

Leading up to the 50th Reunion, classmate and Reunion Committee member Steve Cassilly applied his video stylings to take us on a couple of journeys back in time to our old stomping grounds to promote and encourage classmates to make the trek back home for the 50th Reunion.  Thanks Steve!

WHEN WE WERE YOUNGER

Thanks to classmate Mike Hayes for his efforts in providing us with this trip to revisit many of the sights, sounds and topics of the day as we were growing up in and around St. Louis and Webster Groves in the 1960's.  Click on the link below and enjoy!

WHEN WE WERE YOUNGER!

SIXTEEN IN WEBSTER GROVES

Even though we were only in ninth grade and not sixteen in Webster Groves at the time, a number of us had family or knew friends who were when CBS aired the original broadcast in February of 1966.  It was such an anticipated event that a dance at Steger Junior High was paused that night and monitors were set up in the auditorium so students could view it.  It met with significant backlash in and around the community, and still remains available to watch on YouTube.

WEBSTER GROVES REVISTED

The uproar caused by "Sixteen in Webster Groves" was so great (or perhaps expected by CBS) that a mere 6 weeks later they aired an hour long follow up "Webster Groves Revisited" where it reported on how the original show had been received, and delved a little deeper into the community than it had on its first pass.  The video did not find its way to YouTube ... but we did find the full show at the link below split into two video links of marginal video quality but entertaining nevertheless.
