Since I graduated?? In 1969?? You mean what have I been up to for the past 50 years? Hmmmm. Went to Mizzou. Graduated in 1973. Stayed in CoMo until 1981. I married “Harpo” who owned Harpo’s - a college bar and restaurant in downtown Columbia. Life was lots of fun ..too much fun. We divorced amicably after 4 years of too much fun. I decided it was time to grow up finally. I started hosting a prime time access nightly TV show called PM Magazine during my last year living in CoMio. I was called by the PM Magazine producer in Columbia, South Carolina asking me if I would be interested in interviewing for the host position down there. I wasn’t. However, I thought..well, they are a coastal state so would have good seafood, right?? So I accepted the interview and ended up taking that job. My intention was to stay there 6 months to a year or so. Well...I met a guy..got married again and had 2 awesome kids (who definitely think themselves Southerners!) . I hosted PM Magazine there for 10 years and it was a great gig. By then Breck and Eliza were 2 and 4. I wanted to stay home and play more with them. So much for growing up. I worked freelance jobs, but got to pretty much be a dependable stay at home mom. I loved that. %£! happens and suddenly #1 was leaving for college and I was divorced again. I went back to work doing marketing/PR/media relations for several entities in South Carolina. # 2 was ready to launch and knew she wanted to study journalism. So...back to MIZZOU, naturally. She loved her 4 years in Missouri, got a GREAT education and has lived in New York City ever since she graduated. And she supports herself! Go Mizzou! Meanwhile, back down here in South Carolina, things worked out well for me as well. I met the best guy in the entire world. His name is Tom Lash and I will bring him to our reunion. I never brought a husband before, so this will be a first. Tom and I tied the knot making “us” official in October 2017. We actually were perfectly happy living in sinful bliss, but Social Security was totally confused by our relationship so we gave them a break and got “legal”. Tom will retire at the end of this year and who knows what adventure awaits next? We are open to any and all suggestions. Only rule is that it has to be fun!
